2019 Vienna Open in Bratislava
Dear players,

we just have learned that the tournament 2019 Vienna Open is canceled. This is very unfortunate but there may be some way to provide you all the fun you planned to have this weekend without too much changes.

Only 60 km from Vienna (and even less from Vienna airport) there is Bratislava (Slovakia). Right in the city there is a quite challenging temporary disc golf course (par 61) that annually host BTS Urban Mayday tournament. You can check the course info at https://rkfrisbee.wixsite.com/btsmayday/course (the website is devoted to the team competition that will be hosted there this May).

If we would be able to organize the tournament it would be
- capacity 72 players
- PDGA C with no prize money
- the tournament fees will be 20-30 Euro (very hard to estimate right now)
- TD would be Richard Kollar with assistant TDs Katka Bodova and Michal Kudela
- players would need to reserve their own accommodation in Bratislava (should be easy and rather cheap)
- confirmed lunch options for players in the vicinity of the course
- there are a few public buses per hour from Vienna airport to Bratislava and a good public transport within a city, so car is not a requirement
- most of the teepads will be natural teepads/asphalt, baskets will be standard type of baskets (metal) but not PDGA approved

Right now we are not yet 100% sure we will be able to organize the tournament there this weekend. It depends on two factors - interest of players and also the possible logistics (lunches, baskets, etc.). Therefore we need 24 hours to make a decision. For that we need your input.

Please, fill in the form at

Tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon we will inform you whether the replacement tournament will be organized and provide all further details.

Best,

Richard Kollar & Katka Bodova
