Lockdown Lives
We hope you enjoyed Lockdown Lives!

Lockdown Lives is a series of short films from Creative Scene, documenting the stories from North Kirklees business, community groups and charities during COVID-19.

Made by filmmaker Alistair I Macdonald, Lockdown Lives will be released throughout summer 2020 and will revisit familiar faces at The Pie Shed and The Underwater Hockey Club, as well as introducing new places and people.

About Creative Scene

At Creative Scene, we make art a part of everyday life. We don’t run a venue or a gallery, instead, we work in the places where people live, work and socialise. You’ll find us putting on gigs and cabaret-style theatre in pubs and social clubs, family-friendly shows in community spaces, spectacular events in town centres, parks and outdoor spaces, and at community and voluntary-led festivals.

We also commission and produce action research and support artists to work with and in association with, the people and places around the towns of Dewsbury and Batley in West Yorkshire.

We’re funded by Arts Council England as one of the Creative People and Places projects, a programme which supports more people choosing, creating and taking part in brilliant art experiences in the places where they live.
