Our Common Future (OCF) is a project that brings together people from all across Europe to discuss social, political and cultural issues affecting the European societies. Project participants explore a particular subject in a documentary film-making workshop, with guidance from professional film-makers.
OCF will be hosting its next project titled, "Migration and Europe's Response", in Brussels, Belgium from 27 November - 2 December. The project will consist of round-table discussions on migration, various technical workshops allowing participants to enhance their knowledge and skills related to film-making, and film shooting sessions. Together, all participants will use the outcome of the initial discussion to create a documentary movie. Participants will see video examples of how Europe deals with refugees, have the opportunity to exchange with a guest speaker who is an expert on the topic of integration and they will interview refugees and potentially aid workers first hand. The culminating event will be a public viewing of the completed film project which will later be posted to the Our Common Future website and screened at future events.
