Volunteer Requirements

Please read thoroughly to determine if you are able to participate in our volunteer program this year!.

Pickin’ on Music Festivals is looking for valued Volunteers to help with operations of Pickin’ on Picknic from July 11-14, 2019. We take pride in staffing energetic, conscious, trustworthy, and hard-working people who are eager to execute tasks and like to work with a team. We have a variety of jobs available including but not limited to; Gate, Parking, Medical, Set up/Break Down, General Duties, Kids Area, Runners and Merchandise. Volunteers will receive admission to Pickin’ on Picknic and a full weekend camping pass from Thursday- Sunday in exchange for 10 hours of work. The volunteer will also receive staff shirt to be worn during the shift, and 2 meals tickets for use at food vendors at the event.

APPLICATION DEADLINES:

We have a deadline of June 1st or until all volunteer positions have been filled.

BECOMING A VOLUNTEER:
TO APPLY:
1) You must purchase a non-refundable VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT ticket here ticket link and then enter your confirmation number in this application. This non-refundable deposit is applied towards shirt cost and also shows that you are serious about fulfilling the requirements. Schedule preferences are given to early applicants.

2) You will receive a confirmation within 48 hours of applying from Savanna, our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator! You will be given a Volunteer Discount Code to purchase your event ticket. You have until June 1, 2019, to purchase your ticket. Scheduling will be made as soon as your event ticket is purchased.

3) ALL volunteers are required to attend a mandatory 1-hour orientation. You may choose to attend June 19 OR June 26. At orientation you will pick up your shirt, schedule card and receive a volunteer packet with any information you need for the event or your job.

VOLUNTEER CHECK IN:
1) Bring photo ID to Volunteer check-in at festival to retrieve your final schedule card, wristband and camping pass. Once you are parked, drop off your camping gear, and come to VOLUNTEER STATION for your schedule cards and information. Full event general admission tent camping is included in your Volunteer ticket You are only allowed early Wednesday entry if you are scheduled to work on Wednesday.

2) Please show up for your shifts with your schedule card 10 minutes prior to your shift to allow proper staff switchover and set up. Once your shift is over, your shift leader will sign your schedule card confirming you were present for your entire shift.

How do I recieve my refund after working my shift?
You may bring your signed Volunteer schedule card to the Volunteer station on Sunday 7/14 from 10a-12p and exchange it for a check refunding you for the amount of the Volunteer Ticket minus fees- $125. If you are unable to Pick up your check on Sunday, we will mail it to you directly within 7 days.

***If you don’t complete ALL of your scheduled volunteer hours, your ticket will be non-refundable!***

CONFIRMATION & SCHEDULES:

How do I know that I have been accepted as a volunteer?

ALL VOLUNTEERS 21 or older are should be accepted when we receive completed application and deposit. Once we receive your application, you will receive an email confirmation with a discount code to purchase your ticket for the event.


We will do our best to have roles established early but there is a chance volunteers may or may NOT receive their *potential* schedule prior to the festival, depending on when they apply. You will receive your FINAL confirmed schedule when you arrive at Pickin' On Picknic.

PLEASE NOTE: Schedules are SUBJECT to CHANGE. We do our best to meet your requests. Thank you for understanding the fluid nature of this type of event.

DEPOSITS:

A $10 non refundable deposit ticket is required to apply.

$125 Volunteer ticket will be reimbursed in exchange for 10-Hour Volunteer Commitment


CANCELLATIONS:

If you cannot fulfill your volunteer commitment, notify Savanna at Volunteer@pickinfestival..com  ASAP. Cancellations without deposit penalty MUST BE AT LEAST 10 DAYS BEFORE THE FESTIVAL IN WRITING (email is good). After that all cancellations (even calling in sick) are considered a NO-SHOW & your Deposit Fee will be cashed. We suggest you find a reliable friend to replace YOU so you do not lose your deposit.
