Code Cooperative Mentor Application
In 2020 there is still a huge diversity gap in tech. Black and Latinx people make up 32% of the US population and 50% of the prison population, but only 15% of the tech workforce.

The Code Cooperative works to correct this imbalance by creating life-changing opportunities in technology for people impacted by incarceration.

We offer high-quality tech education to formerly incarcerated people and communities that are disproportionately criminalized and incarcerated while reducing the stigma associated with prison within the tech industry.

During this difficult time, we are matching Code Cooperative students with virtual mentors so that they can continue to further their learning.

The ideal mentor is a seasoned software engineer who is interested in growing as a manager and teacher and willing to commit a significant amount of time to mentorship (a few hours per week for 3 months).
