The experience will be hugely rewarding, but also physically and mentally challenging so to be one of our walkers you’ll need to be physically and mentally resilient. We’re looking for people with interesting stories who are available for the duration of The Big Lunch community walk, plus some time beforehand for briefings and training.
Along the journey you’ll be connecting with different community initiatives and the people that make them happen. Each time we stop along the way, we'll spend some time with the people there, finding out about what they do to make a difference in their community, and share their ideas and tips for The Big Lunch.
You’ll spend a lot of time in the company of your walk team and people you don't know during travelling, walking and at community stops and we hope you’ll be accompanied by passionate members of the public for walks around their communities. Walkers must, therefore, be comfortable being in constant company, being interviewed by the media and be happy and able to converse with the general public about The Big Lunch, as well as community initiatives they are visiting.
Please complete this form in as much detail as possible, completing all sections. We will be using the information provided to short-list walkers.
