District 214 Site Visit Request: April 16, 2019
Thank you for your interest in visiting District 214 to learn more about how we’re implementing Redefining Ready!, a nationwide initiative to to ensure that our nation’s 14 million high school students are college ready, career ready and life ready.

Our next site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16th from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Our maximum attendance per site visit is 25 attendees. Once we have reached capacity for a site visit, we put interested parties on a waiting list and offer them a spot for our next scheduled site visit (currently scheduled for Fall of 2019).

There is a cost of $75 per attendee for our site visits. This fee covers the cost of lunch, snacks and beverages, printed materials and bus transportation between our buildings (you will need to provide your own transportation to and from our district office at the start and end of the day). You can mail a check in advance or bring it on the day of the site visit. Checks should be made out to Township High School District 214.

Early College Center
8:30-8:45 am: Welcome, Opening Remarks
8:45-10:15 am: Implementing Redefining Ready!
Diplomas with a Purpose: District Administrators will discuss the college and career readiness components of Redefining Ready! in action within District 214. Q&A
Panel Discussion--English, Math, CTE Dual Credit: High School Faculty and Administration will discuss their programs and experiences relating to college and career readiness at their high schools.
10:15-10:30 am: Break
10:30-11:00 am: Bus ride to High School site

Location: At one of the D214 High Schools
11:00-12:00 pm: Center for Career Discovery
Presentation: Administrators and Staff will talk about the Center for Career Discovery, High School District 214’s department charged with implementing workplace learning experiences and supporting career decision making across the district.
Panel Discussion: Students who have participated in the district’s internship and workplace learning experiences will provide their perspective on the experiences in the programs.
12:00-12:45 pm: Lunch
12:45-2:00 pm: Redefining Ready! In Action--facility tour: Building Administration will lead participants in a tour highlighting numerous pathway facilities and providing the opportunity for participants to engage with students and staff.
2:00-2:45 pm: Redefining Ready! and Student Services: Building and District Administration and Staff will discuss the mechanisms and processes in place to help support students with career decision-making, pathway navigation, and college and career readiness.
2:45-3:00 pm: Reflection/Discussion/Wrap-Up
