TEDxJHU Salon 2018 Speaker Contest
Are you a Hopkins student interested in giving a TEDx talk? Is there any advice you would like to impart among your peers? Do you have an idea worth spreading?
This year at the TEDxJHU Salon event "Postscript” being held on Tuesday, December 4th at 7 PM, you will have the opportunity to be one of the student speakers!
Here's how it works. Submit a video showcasing you and your story by October 24th. Your video will be posted to our Facebook page, and the 5 videos with the most votes by 11:59 PM on October 28th will be our finalists. Our team will evaluate the finalists based on production value, relevance, but most importantly, you and your idea worth sharing.
We are now opening up the contest to paragraph submissions as well, if you are still interested!
TEDxJHU holds our annual salon event to provide an intimate space for Hopkins students to share their personal stories. Your talk should be in line with our theme, “Postscript.” Just like the PS line in a letter, this should should focus on insight you have gained during your time at Hopkins and experiences that you would like to reflect on and share with the campus community. Please use this theme as your starting point but we’re excited to hear your take on what this means to you and your own unique journey. The video should be no longer than 90 seconds and submitted by 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 24th. For more detailed guidelines about what TEDx prohibits in its talks, go to this link:
