The following survey is aimed at evaluating the differences between rural and urban communities with respect to stigmas of mental illness.
Informed Consent
The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between rural and urban communities with respect to mental illness. Your participation will require you to complete an online survey that consists of 54 questions. These questions will be scored on a 5 point scale ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree. Participation will require no more than 45 minutes of your time.In some cases, participation in this research may be used for class credit or extra credit in selected psychology courses. Your participation in this research will be completely anonymous. Your name will be stored separately from the collected data. If at any time during the research you wish to discontinue participation, then you are free to do so without penalty. These conditions present minimal or no foreseeable risks or discomforts to the participants, mild fatigue many occur due to working on the computer. If you do at any point during the survey become fatigued then please feel free to take a break. In the case that you feel psychological discomfort associated with opinions of mental illness, the Bristol Crisis Center (866-953-0484) may serve as a valuable resource.
