Teachers as Readers Book Group Application
Sponsored by the Portland Reading Council, TAR Book Groups are perfect for educators who want to meet regularly to discuss a professional book. Group members use the knowledge learned to create rich literacy classrooms where students read and write with confidence.

A mini grant is available according to the number of participants: 
$100 for 3-5 participants
$150 for 6-9 participants
$200 for 10+ participants

Note: One participant must be a member of the Portland Reading Council.

Optional graduate credit is available from Western Oregon University for $80. 
Requirements: Attend ten hours of discussion; complete a 3-page reflection paper; register with WOU and pay for credit
