Here’s a reason to be happy ever after...  as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Grammy and Tony Award-winning musical.  Into the Woods, JR  features all of your favorite characters —Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch- in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. But be careful what you wish for...

The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever. 

One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods, JR. is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy and complex music and rhythms.

*Performances March 22 & 23, 2025 with SUPER MANDATORY TECH WEEK (MARCH 15 AND MON-FRI. MARCH 17-21).
*Rehearsals Saturdays either 2:00-4:30 OR 5:00-7:30 starting Sept. 28. We may or may not have a few rehearsals with only certain characters.

TUITION can be paid in full or monthly @ $70/month (after deposit) from October to February
  *Tuition is used almost exclusively for costly performance & licensing fees, royalty fees, theater rental for tech and performance week, monthly studio rental, scripts, utilities, tech directors, musical directors, choreographers, props, administrative help, musicians, set, lumber, U-haul rentals, lighting design, special effects, microphones, costumes and rental costumes, sound, insurance, storage units, etc.               
*Performers required to provide their own shoes and tights/socks 😊
