Carlmont High School 2019
The Carlmont High School Compass Program is an 18-day transition-to-high school success program for incoming 9th-grade students. The main emphasis is to provide a transition to high school for those students who are recommended as at-risk by their middle school or have below grade level reading skills. The Compass program will include literacy-building workshops, study skills development, along with participating in physical education, leadership activities and high school success strategies. By the end of the program you will have completed your summer reading requirement, gained valuable academic mindsets and developed social and study skills necessary to be a success your freshman year! Students will receive up to five credits toward high school graduation.
Dates: June 18 - July 12, 2019 (no school on July 4th)
Time: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
