Lit Crawl Boston 2020 Proposals
Here's your chance to be part of the fun at Lit Crawl Boston in 2020. On Thursday, June 11th, come celebrate the city’s literary past, present, and future at the fourth annual Lit Crawl Boston, a night of irreverent literary programming in one of Boston's unique neighborhoods. From 6:00 to 9:00pm, in 45-minute increments, attendees will take advantage of up to 15 literary events, including games, performances, provocations, and other oddities, all in surprising venues ranging from cafes and art galleries to laundromats and shoe stores.
This moveable feast in one of the most walkable cities on the planet is FREE, and many of the events will offer free beer and/or wine. Lit Crawl Boston is presented by the Boston Book Festival.
Lit Crawl Boston is held in three 45-minute “Phases” between 6:00 and 9:00pm. Guests can choose to attend just one event during each Phase or “crawl” from event to event.
We are seeking proposals from individuals and organizations who would like to develop programming for one or more events at Lit Crawl Boston in 2020. We will close submissions on February 29th, and inform applicants no later than April 1st. If you'd like to know what events we had at the last Lit Crawl, please visit:
The presenting organization will secure venues, cover the cost of libations and licenses, provide limited volunteer support, and promote the event via our channels. Organizations and individuals whose programs are selected agree to promote their participation to their lists. Please note that we will review any requests for venue placement and timing, but venue assignments and schedule are at the discretion of the BBF and the Lit Crawl committee. The BBF can not cover the cost of presenter travel, honoraria, or supplies. Be creative and surprise us with your proposals--we can't wait to see what you come up with!
