Application to 2022-2023 MIM College and Post-Baccalaureate Programs
All information will remain confidential with the MIM Staff.  Please use this application to apply for all college/post-baccalaureate level programs.  (Below are four separate programs, but the application questions are similar.  In the beginning, you will have the opportunity to choose all programs you wish to apply for.)  ALL APPLICATION DEADLINES ARE INDICATED BELOW FOR EACH PROGRAM.  Only submit ONE application.  Multiple and incomplete applications will NOT be considered.

1-MIM VIRTUAL Medical School Application Bootcamp
Learn strategies to create a competitive application to medical school.  You must be applying in 2022 or 2023 for the entering class of 2023 or 2024, respectively. Must attend each session.

Eligibility:  Low income and students under-represented in medicine who are currently college and post-baccalaureate students or re-applicants to medical school.  All are encouraged to apply!

2-Emergency Department Clinical Exposure and Mentoring Program (ED-CEMP)  (NYC area)
Students will volunteer, shadow and learn about many specialties and medical careers in a busy urban ED.  Students will also participate in community service.

Eligibility:  Low income college, gap year and post-baccalaureate students and students under-represented in medicine who live in the NYC area and intend to apply to health professional school.  (All are welcome to apply.) Students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to participate in this program.  Students in health professional school do NOT qualify.  The program entails the following minimum number of hours for completion over a 6-month period at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx:
(1)  100 hours volunteering
(2)  25 hours shadowing
(3)  40 hours community service project(s)

3-Medical Pathway Program (MPP) (Virtual)
In its 13th year, this holistic medical school preparatory boot camp targets low income students or students under-represented in medicine. (All are welcome to apply.) This rigorous 30-week program (9/17/22-4/8/23) program accelerates a candidate's application to medical school by helping to increase his/her competitiveness through personal strategic planning sessions, MCAT prep, AAMC SJT/CASPer/PreVIEW Professional Readiness Exam information, application assistance, mock interviewing, work with MIM coaches (peak performance, study skills, communication, stress reduction, etiquette) and much more!  After this program, 92% of med school applicants get accepted.

Eligibility:  New or re-applicants to medical school.  Must be taking/have completed Biochemistry and Physics.  Must be planning to APPLY to medical school for application submission in 2023.

Fee:  $600
Limited financial assistance is available.

4-MIM Student Instructors' Program (Virtual and In-person in NYC area)
 College, gap year and post-baccalaureate and graduate students get paid to teach elementary, middle and high school students about biology-inspired STEAM.  Whether in-person (NYC area) or virtually, students teach in the MIM after school and Saturday programs, participate in activities fairs, create curricula and serve as tutors.

Eligibility:  Must have received a B or better in math and science courses.  

Fee:  Students receive a modest stipend for their hours.
