Come join trans advocate Michael Alroy as he shares his captivating life story and discusses important topics such as gender identity, sexual orientation, and the importance of developing tolerance and recognition of "the other." Michael will draw on his personal journey as a transgender man to educate and dispel common misconceptions and stereotypes, providing insight into life values and awakening the potential and power of us to make positive changes in our lives. Michael will take us on a journey through his childhood in South Africa, his struggles with gender identity, and his experiences in the Israeli army and as a participant on "Big Brother." His lecture explores the impact of gender perceptions, social pressure, the need for belonging, the importance of family, coping with crises and developing mental resilience. Afterward, there will be a Q&A and reception.
