Per TEA requirements, families may switch between in-person and Midland ISD's Online Learning Academy at the end of each grading period. Please note that you may not have the same teacher if you opt to switch between the online and on-campus school options. The Change Request Form is specific for each MISD campus and can be found on each school's website. Please complete the appropriate form for each student's campus. Please complete this form if you are interested in switching between online instruction and in-person instruction during the next grading period. If you do not want to switch between school models, no additional information is required at this time. The dates for requesting a change between the two learning environments are listed below. When students in the Midland Online Learning Academy (MOA) are not engaging in the content or struggling academically, the need for interventions or a change in learning environments may be necessary. In the event a student participating in remote learning is failing or has unexcused absences, a parent can request for the student to be moved to in-person learning, or the Midland Independent School District can cancel remote learning for the student with the requirement to notify parents of the cancellation decision. In the event of a district initiated cancellation of online learning, a parent may appeal if they disagree.
