k2i (Kindergarten to Industry) academy within the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University is excited to be hosting 3 free Go ENG Girl events this fall! At each event, girls and non-binary youth in grade 5 to 10 will be able to engage with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) mentors to complete a hands-on engineering design challenge tied to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals! The three events include:
Go ENG Girl - York University Markham Campus - Saturday, October 26
- Go ENG Girl - York University Keele Campus - Saturday, November 2
Go ENG Girl - York University in Partnership with Peel District School Board at Sandalwood Heights Secondary School in Brampton* - Saturday, November 16 (Program Full, Waitlist Available)
*Please note for the event in partnership with Peel District School Board, this program is only open to students apart of the Peel District School Board.
Each event will start at 10:00 am and run till 2:00 pm. A pizza lunch and snacks will be provided during the day.
At the end of the event there will be time for the participants to show off their amazing work to family and friends during pickup!
We ask that each participant only registers for one event. If we receive multiple registrations for the same participant they will be assigned one event. We want to ensure as many participants as possible can participate!
