Oliver Storytime: Youth Sign Up Form
Oliver Storytime is a youth led initiative started by Haneefah Syed for her Girl Scout Gold Award community service project in collaboration with Olive Community Services (
). "Olivers" refers to the senior citizens in our community. This project aims for Olivers to share their stories of adversity to help youth develop resilience. Research has shown that building resilience can help manage social anxiety which is at an all time high among the youth during this global pandemic. The Oliver Storytime program also benefits the Olivers as they are experiencing social isolation during these times by giving them an opportunity for social interaction.
