URBAN CO[LAB] is a distinctive format for APA CA Northern Section events. The core principle of these events is to create a 'laboratory' of planning professionals in conversation with those in allied or adjacent fields. The conversations and connections that emerge from these events are intended to provide a platform for interdisciplinary networking and to foster ongoing collaborations and partnerships.
The format includes the following elements:- HYPOTHOSIS: An overarching theme and set of core questions that provide context for interdisciplinary and comparative discussion.
- LABORATORY: A distinctive and perhaps non-traditional venue suitable to the theme
- CASE STUDY:
An exhibition, demonstration, showcase, experience, or performance related to the theme.
- EXPERIMENT: An interdisciplinary panel discussion or presentation
- PEER REVIEW:
Opportunities for networking and informal discussion, accompanied by food and drinks.
The form below is designed to provide an opportunity to share ideas about future URBAN CO[LAB] Events and to offer to volunteer to support event planning or execution.
