The Collingswood Board of Education and School District are seeking input from our community about the need for an operating
referendum to retain committed and dedicated staff and invest in student programs and services.
Due to the economy, the annual cost to run schools significantly exceeds the resources available. Without additional operating revenue, the Collingswood School District will be subject to additional reductions to staff, program closures and consolidations, and reductions to legacy student services for the 2027-28 school year.
We invite you to
actively participate in meaningful conversations focused on meeting the
needs of every student, while honoring what our community values.
We are asking you to rate staffing levels and program needs as most to least important. Each question will contain a category for you to rate from 1-5. 1 being least important; 5 being most.
Current timeline for Operating Referendum:
- Feedback sessions: throughout Summer 2026
- Plan review: September 2026
- Vote: November 2026
