Young Man / Young Woman Nomination - 2024
The Young Man of the Year award for Gainesville and Hall County dates back to 1946. It has been sponsored every year since then by the Gainesville Jaycees with an honorary banquet and formal presentation of the award.  The Gainesville Jaycees began recognizing women in 2001 for their accomplishments in area business and civic service with the annual Young Woman of the Year award.

The purpose of this distinguished award not only is to honor deserving young men, but to inspire them and others in the community to pursue civic service with selfless devotion. Much is expected of these Young Man and Young Woman of the Year honorees, many of whom have gone on to even greater success as federal judge, U.S. Congressmen, Governor, bank president, business executive, entrepreneur, and generous philanthropist.

Both awards continue to grow larger each year in stature and prestige, thanks to the support and encouragement of the Gainesville Jaycees.

If you have nominated someone in the past, their nomination is still valid and they will still be considered for the award (assuming they haven't already won and haven't reached the date where they are past the age to be considered for the award). If you would like to update a nominee's information from the past, and / or provide updated letters of recommendation, please send Young Man candidate updates to Casey Ryals (jcryals@gfbinsurance.com) and please direct Young Woman candidate updates to Callie Flack (callie@forumspeaks.com).
