Now more than ever, it’s critical to support our local small businesses. This holiday, if you’re able, I encourage you to join me in “shopping small.”

According to a recent study, 78 percent of small business owners say positive feedback on social media is a significant driver of business activity. In fact, the study found that positive feedback on social media are worth as much as $197 billion for the U.S. small business economy. In addition, 89 percent of consumers say they are more likely to shop at a small business recommended by their friends.
