Dear Granite City CUSD #9 Parents, Citizens, and Staff
On March 20, 2018 the voters of Madison County will decide on the County School Facilities Sales Tax (CSFT). This is an alternative revenue source for schools that can fund school facility needs and will have an impact on the Granite City School District.

Revenue generated from this sales tax can only be used for items such as building additions, renovations, safety and security improvements, technology infrastructure, new construction, parking lots, roof repairs, and traffic flow solutions. By law, this money CAN NOT be used for salaries.

Aging facilities and student accessibility necessitate upgrades to improve safety, address traffic concerns, strengthen technology infrastructure, and improve energy consumption. As parents, citizens, and staff, we understand that you recognize many of the needs, and may also have additional suggestions for improvements to our facilities.
