VOLUNTEER INFORMATION: There is excitement around this fundraiser that both promotes wellness and benefits media centers in District 279 schools! Come out to the Elm Creek Park Reserve on Saturday, August 10, and join the fun as you run, walk, cheer others on, or volunteer at one of the following activities.
Friday, August 9 - Location ESCRACE PREP: 9AM to 11AM Insert donated items into the runners swag bags and load event items into truck.
Saturday, August 10 - Location Elm Creek Park Reserve Acorn AreaCHECK IN AND AWARDS: 7:30AM to end of raceCheck in participants and volunteers. Hand out t-shirt and goodie bag to the participants. Help walk up participants register. Help pack up the check in area and transfer to the finish line to help with the awards ceremony. During awards ceremony gather award recipients to pose for photo. Following the race, help with clean up, packing the truck and unpacking the truck at the ESC.
COURSE VOLUNTEER: 8AM to end of raceMarshalls help set up starting line, mark the track and support/direct the participants during the race. Water station volunteers set up stations on he course, provide water to participants on the course, cheer on the participants. Following the race transition to course clean up, packing the truck and unpacking the truck at the ESC.
MASCOT PERFORMERS/ESCORTS and FINISH LINE: 7:45AM to end of race Mascot performers greet participants, take part in the pre-race stretch and mascot dash. Mascot escorts accompany the mascots to help direct them, keep them safe and take photos. Following the mascot race transition to the finish line to assist race event staff, track the runners, hang medals on the kids after the 1K and 5K and clean up after the Run/Walk. Following the race, help with clean up, packing the truck and unpacking the truck at the ESC.
