Indy DO Day Volunteer Sign Up
Indy DO Day consists of several days when the people of Indianapolis get to know their neighbors, take ownership of the neighborhoods, and take care of one another.

On Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 9am to Noon, the Lawrence Township School Foundation is coordinating a morning of service at various Lawrence Township Schools. Volunteers will be working in teaching gardens and outdoor learning labs, building benches/planter boxes, painting picnic tables, and doing various groundskeeping projects. Projects vary by location so check out the list below.

Brook Park Elementary - Staining Outdoor Lab deck, assisting student's with PE Pace testing, and cleaning up pond.
Crestview Elementary - Working on garden maintenance and the butterfly garden.
Forest Glen Elementary - General clean-up of courtyards and school grounds.
Harrison Hill Elementary - Building bench planters for the courtyard and garden.
Mary Castle Elementary - All volunteer slots for this school are filled.
Oaklandon Elementary - Paint picnic tables and remove cattails from the pond.
Skiles Test - Mulching trails, removing honeysuckle, and possibly building benches.
Winding Ridge Early Learning Center - Planting mums in pots, and raking mulch.
Winding Ridge Elementary - Sprucing up courtyards and painting 4-square and hop-scotch courts using stencils.

By filling out this form, you are requesting the opportunity to volunteer your time in an effort to support the students of the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. As a volunteer, you understand this is not an arrangement for employment. However, to ensure the safety of all students and staff, you understand the necessity of completing a Limited Criminal History background check. Further you understand this check will be completed by the administration at no cost to you.

It shall be the discretion of the building administrator to limit the type of volunteer services you may provide based on the information listed on the background check in conjunction with applicable local and state laws.
