Greetings AECT Systems Thinking & Change Members!

If you would like to be more involved in Systems Thinking and Change, take the opportunity to become part of our Division Executive Board.

Elections happen every January, but you are more than welcome to nominate yourself for a Board position any time of the year using this form. You will be contacted at a later time to submit a short 200-300 word bio and portrait to use for AECT web voting.

Officers step up their corresponding positions during the Annual AECT Convention to officially serve according to their role. You can review descriptions of the positions in the orientation capsule and our bylaws linked in our AECT webpage.

Your energy, vision, and commitment will build a stronger future, as you lead in this area and collaborate with other leaders.

Nominations for President: Include name and email address
This is a three year commitment: President elect, President and Past President. As President Elect you will coordinate the Division's part of the program of AECT Convention; as President you will lead all Board meetings and prepare all AECT reports; as Past President you will chair the awards and the elections committees, as well as the long range planning committee integrated by other past presidents.  
Nominations for Communication Officer: Include name and email address
This is a two (2) year term (first as elect and then as officer). The Communications Officer coordinates the publication in all electronic communications with our membership.
Nominations for Secretary/Treasurer: Include name and email address
This is a two (2) year term (first as elect and then as officer). As Secretary/Treasurer you will prepare every Board meeting agenda and minutes and keep all files and financial records in place.
Nominations for  Board Director: Include name and email address
This is a two (2) year term. You will provide the Board with diverse viewpoints and ideas, as well as lead taskforces or special projects.
Nominations for  AECT Board Representative: Include name and email address
This is a three (3) year term.  You will represent STC at the AECT board of directors meetings and report back to the STC Board. Duties include attending monthly AECT board meetings, being available for the summer leadership meetings and for the AECT Board meeting at the beginning and end of the Annual Convention, as well as presenting STC's Division reports when required. The Board representative becomes an AECT Executive Board Director in order to vote on matters related to AECT per STC's Board recommendations.
