The AVA Gallery space at the Kai Tak Campus will showcase the collaborative artistic dialogues among international artists from Hong Kong, Prague and Shenzhen, alongside the process and outcome of a workshop hosted by Tadeas Podracky for AVA Experience Design course students and other participants.
About Creative Dialogues
Participating Artists: Dai Yun, Ekkehard Altenburger, Sara Tse and Tadeas Podracky
With a 共作 (Gòngzuò) approach, meaning "co-creation", these artists come together to work on the same canvas of space. Key themes will include exploring the concept, materials, and meanings of objects, with each session focusing on primary mediums such as painting, sculpture, and installation art.
About Workshop
The workshop delves into the narrative potential of materials and objects, encouraging participants to explore their meanings and possible interpretations. Through quick drawing exercises and group discussions, attendees will discover how unconscious thoughts and intuitive choices can enhance their creative processes. By responding to written prompts, participants will gain a deeper understanding of context and learn how common symbols, personal perspectives, and cultural background influence their thinking. The goal is to connect these ideas to their creative practice, enriching the stories their work can convey.
