"Shift the Power": A Training-of-Trainers Workshop by Community Mobilization in Crisis
Community Mobilization in Crisis invites you to "Shift the Power":
A workshop on community-based decisions in designing, creating, and implementing projects, locally and internationally.

What is the role of a community's agency when we talk about implementing projects that address social issues specific to a certain context? What are the practical differences between international initiatives and local ones? Who holds the power in the decision-making process - and if not the community, how do we shift this power to them?

Through these workshops we are aiming to familiarize local community mobilizers and groups with our materials as well as gain their feedback and engage in a discussion on how to best improve, adapt, and contextualize our materials for use by community mobilizers, NGO staff, and local groups and initiatives with the focus on "Shifting the Power" for this session.

Join us on Monday November 26th at the University of Ottawa, LMX 407.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Date: Monday November 26th, 2018
Time : 11 AM - 2 PM
