PURPOSE
Since CIE/USA-DFW Chapter was founded in 1989, its core value has been based not only on promoting community awareness in STEM, but also on its contributions to society. To honor this core value to community involvement, CIE/USA-DFW Chapter created the CIE Individual Outstanding Community Service Award (iOCSA). Through this program, CIE recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their community through their time, actions, and dedication (outside any volunteer work done for their job or employer). The honoree selected should serve as a role model for their community service and strive to make the world a better place. Award recipients will be recognized at the CIE/USA-DFW 2019 Annual Convention VIP reception and receive an official certificate from the City of Richardson, Texas.

Any individual or any member of a local organization or corporation (does not need to have CIE membership) may be nominated with the exception of members of the Awards committee.
