Major aspects of this project include York's participation in the Ryerson University Lifeline Syria Challenge project (which also includes OCADU and the University of Toronto) to sponsor Syrian refugees as well as promoting refugee awareness and engagement within the York University and wider community.
As part of York University's commitment to experiential student learning, York students (alongside faculty, staff, and alumni) will have the opportunity to become involved in refugee resettlement, engagement and awareness raising.
Our amazing students have also been very active in an ongoing "Refugees Welcome Here!" campaign - http://www.osgoode.yorku.ca/refugees/refugees-welcome/ . You can reach this committee at firstname.lastname@example.org and by checking the box about this below . You can see some of its recent efforts at http://yfile.news.yorku.ca/2017/11/22/york-us-human-rights-student-heroes-working-hard-to-ensure-refugees-feel-welcome/ .
