If you have an interest in palaeontology, this behind-the-scenes tour is for you.

Led by one of our most senior guides, this is a unique opportunity to go ‘under the ledge’ and visit the working fossil digs in the park. You will visit Victoria Fossil Cave, Blanche Cave, and possibly other dig sites not accessible to the general public. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet scientists working on the digs. They are very happy to talk about their work.

As part of the tour you will also visit our Fossil Lab. This is a working laboratory so there may be researchers at work. In here we store some of the fossil material and fossil collections. You’ll be able to discuss the science of the fossils at length with your guide.
