Signup: Three Minute Thesis @ Amorphic Beer Apr 12, 2023 @7pm
Join us for our third "three minute thesis" event at Amorphic Beer (some might also call this a powerpoint party). Currently in over 200 universities worldwide, three minute thesis is a chance to challenge your presentation and communication skills in front of friends old and new. Our spin on it is a bit less academic, and a bit more fun!

First, it does not need to be an actual thesis, but should attempt to convince or educate the audience on something. Some excellent examples used in the past include "The politics and history of vending machines", "Why cats are aliens from another planet", and "How to save money at Culvers". Actual thesis topics from academia are welcome and encouraged, but some our completely made up things just for fun. Any topic is fair game, adult language is permitted, however overly lewd or inappropriate topics will be filtered out prior to presenting.

Second, all presenters will receive a free beer or two, and they are highly encouraged to have that free beer before their turn with the microphone and screen.

Your presentation must be shared in google slides (if you require animation) or pdf format, and be in a 16:9 screen ratio. You will receive an email the week before the event with details on how to share your file. As you only have 3 minutes (the screen and mic will be cut off at 3 min), something between 1 and 3 slides is usually appropriate.

The audience and judges will be the other participants and random people who happen to be in the taproom that day, rating your efforts from 1-5 when considering the presentation, communication, and of course entertainment value. The winners will be awarded prizes from Amorphic Beer.

Ten signups needs to make this a go, capped at 20 participants.
