WFDF Event Spirit Director Nomination Form
WFDF is looking for Spirit Directors for it's 2025 events:
  • Spain (Logroño) - 21–28 Jun: WU24 - WFDF World Under-24 Ultimate Championships
  • China (Chengdu) - 7–17 Aug: TWG - IWGA World Games
  • Sweden (Ängelholm) - 10–15 Aug: WOC - WFDF World Overall Flying Disc Championships
  • Japan (Kamisu City) -  3–7 Sep: AOUC - WFDF Asia Oceanic Ultimate Championships
  • Japan (Kamisu City) -  3–7 Sep: WGCC - WFDF World Guts Club Championships
  • Lithuania (Druskininkai) - 18–21 Sep: WWUC - WFDF World Wheelchair Ultimate Championships
  • Uganda (Kampala) - 9–12 Oct: AAUC - WFDF All Africa Ultimate Championships
  • Portugal (Portimão) - 16–22 Nov: WBUC - WFDF World Beach Ultimate Championships
  • Dominican Republic (Cap Cana): 1–6 Dec: PAUC - WFDF Pan-American Ultimate Championships
The Spirit Director works with the WFDF Events team to event participants to have a great and spirited event experience.

Some key activities are:
  1. Ensure the event information has clear information on SOTG
  2. Organise and host the Spirit Captain's meeting
  3. Ensure that participants have the required rules accreditations through spot checks
  4. Engage with teams to help and facilitate, especially with low and learn from high scores
  5. Answer SOTG related queries and liaise with Spirit Captain
  6. Tally the SOTG scores and present the SOTG Award to the winners
  7. Be part of the Tournament Rules Group to discuss crucial tournament decisions
Some key requirements are:
  1. Good understanding, experience and appreciation of the SOTG, flying disc sports, their rules and culture
  2. Good communication skills and working proficiency in English
  3. Full dedication to the Spirit Director role for the duration of the event
  4. Preferably, have previous Spirit Director or events experience

We believe being a Spirit Director is a rewarding learning experience with the opportunity to significantly improve participants' event experience. You will be supported and provided materials by the WFDF SOTG Commission.
