Sub-Saharan Africa has one of the largest numbers of water-stressed countries in the world with South Africa regarded as amongst the top 30 most water stressed countries in the world. To meet the scale of challenges in area of urban water and sanitation management, a cadre of professionals who work in implementing sustainable water management solutions in urban areas of South Africa need to enhance their knowledge with upcoming water sensitive planning and designing approach. This successful training programme is delivered by a team of specialists from the WRC, Centre of Science and Environment (CSE) India and University of Cape Town covering a range of informative and engaging sessions, as well as topics on WSUDP to build more water resilience in Municipalities and discussion on existing good practices.

The training is a three-days interactive and hands-on programme, limited to a maximum of 40 participants and there is no associated registration costs.
