Journey 2050 allows students grade 7-12 around the world to experience agriculture like it’s never been taught before. As students explore world food sustainability they are encouraged to think critically about the ripple effect on social, economic and environmental factors locally and globally.
Agricultural experts and real farm families from Kenya, India and Canada guide students through a virtual farm simulation, career avatar game and geography scavenger hunt.
By registering, a guest speaker from AITC-M will come into your classroom, provide all supplies needed, and deliver the FREE, MB curriculum-linked Journey 2050 Program!
The strongest curriculum connections are: Grade 7- social studies, science, food and nutrition Grade 8- science, food and nutritionGrade 10- geography, scienceGrade 12- global issuesHowever, all grades are welcome and encouraged to participate in this vital topic.
I ask to spend 1.5- 2 hours with the students. In this time, I complete up to 4 of the 6 levels of the program. I can accommodate groups of up to 35 students. The remainder of the levels would be up to the teacher to finish on your own time, and with your own devices, if you choose to do so.
