Lumberjack 100 Volunteer Sign Up

We need some volunteers for the Lumberjack 100 on June 14th-15th 2024. We have a couple different positions and shifts available. Please see below for the different options. Each volunteer will receive a meal and beverage ticket as well as a water bottle and an LJ100 hat or T-shirt as a thank you.

PACKET PICKUP FRIDAY EVENING - June 14th

DUTIES: Help hand out race plate number and merch orders LOCATION: Lodge at Big M

EARLY SHIFT: 1PM - 4PM (2-3 VOLUNTEERS)

LATE SHIFT: 4PM - 8PM (2-3 VOLUNTEERS)

SATURDAY MORNING (June 15th) CAR PARKING ASSISTANT FROM 5:30 AM - 6:45 AM (need 2-3 volunteers)

**STILL NEED 3 VOLUNTEERS**

DUTIES: Assist flagging cars into Big M parking lot to best utilize the parking spaces DIRECTIONS: Come to the lodge to check in. We will give you a high-vis vest, flash light and directions on who to see for instructions

MORNING SHIFT: 5:30AM - 6:45 AM **STILL NEED 3 VOLUNTEERS**

RACE START WAVE SIGN HOLDER FROM 6:45 AM - 7:15 AM (need 2-3 volunteers) - June 15th

DUTIES: Hold a wave sign at the start line located at the Big M parking lot entrance LOCATION: Come to the start line, where we will provide you with a wave sign and instructions for your role WHAT TO BRING: Clothes for the weather

MORNING SHIFT: 6:45 AM - 7:15 AM

AID STATION ON COURSE AT HALFWAY POINT (need about 6 volunteers per shift) - June 15th

DUTIES: Help racers fill water bottles and hydration packs, prep snacks, cheer, have fun and encourage racers THEME: Pirates, dress up for the theme if you'd like LOCATION:Drive yourself from Big M Parking lot. Turn right on Udell hills and follow "AID SIGNS" to the Aid Station location. It takes about 12 minutes driving, please show up 10 minutes before your shift starts WHAT TO BRING: Clothes for the weather, snacks for yourself and refillable water bottle. We'll have bug spray and sunscreen

EARLY SHIFT: 8AM - 11AM

MIDDLE SHIFT : 11AM - 1PM

LATE SHIFT: 1PM - 4PM

Are you a bike mechanic or can you help fix simple issues with bikes

Will you have a vehicle with a bike rack for sag support back to start line if needed?

AID STATION AT FINISH LINE / HAMMER NUTRITION TENT (need about 2 volunteers per shift) - June 15th

DUTIES: Help racers fill water bottles and hydration packs, keep water jugs filled, mix electrolyte, prep snacks, cheer, have fun and encourage racers LOCATION: This Aid Station is located at the finish line/ transition area. Look for the red hammer nutrition tent. please show up 10 minutes before your shift start. We will provide all the supplies WHAT TO BRING: Clothes for the weather, snacks for yourself and refillable water bottle.

MORNING SHIFT: 8AM - 12PM

AFTERNOON SHIFT: 12PM - 4PM

HAND OUT FINISHER PATCHES TO RACERS AT FINISH LINE (need 3 volunteers, 1 per shift) -June 15th

DUTIES: Hand the race finishers their patch and congratulate them. **make sure they have completed all 3 laps LOCATION: Located at the finish line, we will have the patches in the finish race chute WHAT TO BRING: Clothes appropriate for the weather, snacks for yourself and refillable water bottle.

EARLY SHIFT: 1:30PM - 3PM

MIDDLE SHIFT: 3PM - 4:30PM

LATE SHIFT: 4:30PM - 6PM

HELP DISH OUT FOOD - (need 2-3 volunteers per shift) - June 15th

DUTIES: Help dish out food (pulled pork sandwiches and vegetarian option) serve sides and chips onto plates

EARLY SHIFT: 1:30 PM - 4 PM

MIDDLE SHIFT : 4 - 6:30 PM

LATE SHIFT: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

MERCH SALES AT LODGE - June 15th

DUTIES: Sell LJ100 merch at lodge during the race LOCATION: Located in the lodge, sell merch items during the race WHAT TO BRING: Snacks for yourself and refillable water bottle.

EARLY SHIFT: 9:00AM - NOON

MIDDLE SHIFT: NOON - 3PM

LATE SHIFT: 3PM - 6PM
