Beginning with the 2025-2026 program year, we are pleased to introduce Affinity Groups to our membership. Geared toward our collegiate and general (adult) membership, affinity groups will give members the opportunity to connect to others who share similar interests--not just in local branches--but around the country. Please sign up for as many groups that identify with your interests. You will get to connect with your affinity groups at our Membership Reception during the National Convention in July!

Emerging Artists Collective | A space for students and early-career musicians to receive mentorship, share work, and build networks.

Sacred & Spiritual Music Alliance | Connecting musicians working in gospel, spirituals, and church music traditions across denominations and communities.

Women in Black Music Leadership | Empowering women in conducting, composition, education, administration, and performance.

Creative Musicians & Composers Circle | A hub for composers, arrangers, songwriters, and innovative performers to collaborate and workshop new works.

Music Educators Network | Supporting Black music educators at all levels through resource sharing, pedagogy exchange, and professional development.

Industry & Innovation Hub | For professionals working in music business, tech, recording, management, and entrepreneurship.

Greeks In Harmony | A space for musically inclined members of the Divine Nine Black Greek-letter organizations to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the deep cultural and musical legacies of Black fraternities and sororities. This will also be open to all members of music fraternities and sororities.

Golden Resonators | The Golden Resonators celebrate NANM’s esteemed legacy members—those aged 70 and above—whose lives and contributions continue to echo through the halls of our history. This affinity group offers space for fellowship, reflection, and intergenerational connection, ensuring their wisdom, artistry, and enduring resonance remain vital to our collective harmony.

The Encore Society | The Encore Society brings together dedicated patrons, supporters, and lovers of the arts whose generosity and advocacy sustain the mission of NANM. Open to all—regardless of musical training—this group celebrates those who champion Black music and musicians through philanthropy, presence, and promotion.
