What is Wilmington Porchfest?
Wilmington Porchfest is a free, community-based music festival where local musicians perform on porches, transforming the neighborhood into a walkable, music event for a day, created to spread joy and community through music. Porchfest is a rain or shine event that is entirely out of doors and is free for all to enjoy.   

When is it?
Porchfest will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. It will start at noon and end at 8pm.

Who books the performers for Wilmington Porchfest? How do I get to perform?
Porches will book their own entertainment for the day. The best way to get to perform is to reach out to friends, family, acquaintances, etc. who live in Trolley Square or Cool Spring and ask them if you can play on their porch. If you are unable to make that happen, fill out this form. The list of artists from this form will be sent to porches who do not have entertainment booked and they will reach out to the musicians directly. *This does not guarantee you a spot playing at Porchfest. It is still best to try to connect with porches directly*

Will I get paid to play Wilmington Porchfest?
Porchfest is a free to attend community event, so it is not a paid opportunity, we appreciate your dedication to partaking in this community event! Bands/artists are welcome to put out a tip jar, or a QR code (such as Venmo) in case attendees would like to contribute some money! You are also welcome to bring your merch to sell. 

How do I get involved if I want to be part of making Wilmington Porchfest happen?
Porchfest is an all-volunteer effort and we would love to have your help! Flyering, organizational outreach, day-of organization, etc. are done by volunteers. If you would like to learn more about ways in which you can donate your time to Porchfest, send an email to 302omad@gmail.com

How long do I have before I need to submit this application for my band/act?
Please apply your band or act to us by July 15th, 2026. Applications submitted as early as possible are appreciated!
