ROAR is Center Youth's social justice internship. This cycle is for middle school or high school students, ONLY. Throughout the internship, participants will meet weekly to discuss issues they are passionate about and be able to dive deeper on how to create change. The participants will eventually decide on one issue to focus on and create a community event with workshops.

Currently accepting applications until January 13th. 

ROAR will be taking place every Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Sessions will be from January 18th, 2023 - March 22, 2023 . The ROAR final event will take place on March 24, 2023. ALL interns and YA's must be present on this day.

Interns who successfully complete the internship will receive a stipend of $250. YA's will receive a $300 stipend. Food and metro cards will be provided each session. This internship will be taking place in person at The Center. Our address is 208 West 13th street, New York, NY 10011

This internship is through the LGBT Community Center. Our space is open to everyone, including allies so you do not necessarily have to identify as LGBTQ but must be respectful to all pronouns, culture and content. Is that something you can agree to? *
