Hello and thank you so much for your interest in rescuing a dog through Nana’s Haven. We love that you are interested in adopting!

Please remember that our dogs have all come from meat trucks, slaughterhouses, overcrowded shelters, or the streets so they may have pre-conceived fears or ideas about people or animals. There is a good chance that they have never stepped foot in a house before, and they will most likely have been mistreated or abused at some point in their lives. Note that, although our dogs are assessed and receive training whilst in the Safe Haven in China or with our fosters in South Korea, we cannot guarantee behavior or predict how they will act in a new environment.

Our dogs have been let down by humans, and it is our mission to ensure we provide the best possible future for them—to rehabilitate them and allow them to experience their own safe haven in the form of their forever homes. For this reason, we prioritize finding them the best homes over finding ‘the perfect pet’ for you. Please be mindful of this when adopting.

Our dogs require 100% dedication: time, unconditional love, and patience is paramount for their recovery. Please only apply if you agree with our mission and if you and your entire family are committed to providing these dogs with what is required.

Due to a small team who works tirelessly, we will hold the majority of interviews on Saturday and Sunday. This will also give us proper time to review applications.
