NW Cyber Camp is happy to provide a new challenge to the high school participants of the 2025 summer Cyber Camp programs across Oregon! Students
in attending one of our day-camps in summer 2026 are invited to apply and may be accommodated on a space available basis. Camp completers have priority for registration. Some CTF competitions are played by teams, but our event is an individual challenge.
This individual Capture The Flag (CTF) event will take place online in February, but the practice gym is now open. The gym helps you get comfortable in the online environment and work on practice problems that will be similar to the catgories in the CTF.
In CTF cybersecurity competitions, "flags" represent sensitive or secret information that would be stored on a computer. You will earn points towards prizes as you find and capture "flags" in categories like password cracking, Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), log analysis, cryptography and network traffic analysis. The gym helps you get comfortable in the online environment and "work out" on practice problems that will be similar to the catgories in the CTF. Just like in the analog world, the gym is where you prepare to compete! The CTF will be open for 72 hours, from a Friday at 8 pm to a Monday at 8pm, offering ample time for sleep, meals, school, family, and play. Please discuss your schedule with your family.
There is no cost to participate. You'll need an internet connection and a chromebook (or better) to play. There is no mobile version. After a student completes this form, the student and a parent/guardian will receive a confirmation e-mail with login details (or next steps if they are on a wait list).
