Tourism workers are the backbone of Vancouver’s economy — but too many of us can’t afford to live in the city we serve. With major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, it’s time for City Hall to stand with hospitality workers and make Vancouver affordable for the people who keep it running.
WE DEMAND:
$2000 World Cup Bonus for Tourism Workers:
We deserve our fair share of next summer's tourism boom.
More Affordable Homes, Not More Hotels:
Prioritize building housing for workers instead of hotels. No condo conversions of hotels!
Hospitality Worker Protection Policy:
- Housekeeping Workload Health and Safety Law: Protect housekeepers from unsafe workloads.
- Equitable Banquet Service Charge Allocation: Ensure fair distribution of service charges to the workers who earn them.
