You're invited to participate in the Future Culture Exhibition!
Staten Island’s North Shore waterfront, home to hundreds of artists and arts organizations, is rapidly developing with projects such as the New York Wheel, Empire Outlets, Lighthouse Point, and Urby, and the proposed Bay Street Corridor rezoning. In the midst of this change, the Future Culture project aims to shape and communicate a vision for culture that supports and promotes the area’s unique cultural communities, develops art and cultural initiatives, and strengthens the relationship between the cultural sector and owners and stewards of property.

The Future Culture project is fostering connections between community initiatives to identify opportunities for our public realm and to be a stronghold against unwanted changes. A map in the exhibition shows examples of initiatives that Staten Islanders have been undertaking in the St. George, Tompkinsville, and Stapleton communities and beyond. We invite you to fill out this form to highlight projects, events, or initiatives that connect people and place, whether they are in the past, present, or future, to be displayed on the exhibition map.

Let us know "What?" the project, event, or initiative is with the title and a short description, "Where?" it is with an address or site name, "When?" it is with the date, and "Who?" is involved by providing the name of an individual or organization as well as contact information if you are hoping to make connections.
