The AYC Executive Council (2019-2021) Nomination Form
In accordance with article (14) paragraph (a) of the AYC constitution, an independent electoral committee is mandated to call for nominations from General membership of the African Youth Commission for official functions of the Executive Council at least three months before the Annual General Assembly meeting of the AYC. To this effect, the first Executive Council election of the AYC took place in Addis Ababa, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on January 25th 2017, which gave power to the ten (10) elected candidates to serve for a two year term from January 2017 to January 2019. However, the current Executive Council was dissolved by the General Assembly during the second (2nd) Annual General Assembly Meeting (AGM) of the AYC held on 26 March 2018 in Harare, Republic of Zimbabwe due to inadequate representation of Executive Council members at the meeting, lack of official communication for their unavailability to attend the AGM and failure to submit reports. The AGM voted in an Interim Taskforce Committee to oversee the Executive Council before the new Council is elected into office. The next Executive Council election is expected to be held on 25 March 2019 and will be conducted in transparent and democratic process of one vote per active member of the AYC National Consortium and Individual members at the 3rd Annual General Assembly Meeting of the AYC in March 2019.

The following positions are available and will be served for a two-year term:
1. Executive Chairperson.
2. Deputy Executive Chairperson.
3. Commissioner for Peace and Security.
4. Commissioner for Political Affairs.
5. Commissioner for Trade and Industry.
6. Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy.
