West Suburban YMCA Marathon Team Application
Please submit by November 10th to be considered.
Thanks to the City of Newton, we are thrilled to receive an invitational bib to the 2020 Boston Marathon on April 20, 2020! One runner will wear the West Suburban YMCA’s bib, and run the historic route from Hopkinton to Boston. Not only will our runner have this unique opportunity to participate in one of the most selective marathon’s in the country, they’ll also give back at the same time! Our runner will commit to raising $7,500 for our Annual Fund. All funds raised will go straight to our financial aid program, enabling children and adults of all ages to build confidence, foster healthy habits, and be part of our nurturing community, regardless of their economic circumstances.

This year, we are offering two opportunities to run for the Y:

1) One runner will be selected to wear our bib and will raise at least $7,500. This person will receive the following benefits:
* Registration to run the 2020 Boston Marathon, including bib and $450 registration fee
* Free Y membership during training season
* Paid membership in Heartbreak Hill Running Company's Charity Runners' coaching program
* Fundraising support including ask training, website, social media and other publicity
* West Suburban YMCA running gear
* Pre-marathon team dinner and post-marathon celebration with family and friends

2) Already have a bib for the marathon? Join our team and raise at least $1,500 for our Y. Up to 10 runners will receive:
* Free Y membership during training season
* Paid membership in Heartbreak Hill Running Company's Charity Runners' coaching program
* Fundraising support including ask training, website, social media and other publicity
* West Suburban YMCA running gear
* Pre-marathon team dinner and post-marathon celebration with family and friends

Runners will be expected to meet certain fundraising milestones over the course of training, including raising their minimum amount by May 20, 2020. If the goal has not been raised, the balance will be charged to the runner's credit card held on file. See below for more details.
