The 7th annual Diversity Abroad Conference will feature the Innovation Competition, sponsored by CAPA The Global Education Network. An Award of $5000, $3000, and $1,500 will be distributed to the top three innovation proposals that support globalization efforts on campus and abroad and address one or more of the following areas:
* Access barriers for diverse and underrepresented student populations.* Equitable and inclusive support for diverse and underrepresented student populations while students are abroad, including faculty and administrative support engagement.* Link global education to career development. * Inclusive support and programming for incoming international students.* Engaging diversity in global education locally and abroad.
Both students and professionals are eligible to participate in the Innovation Competition. In addition to the written description, Innovation Competition submissions should also include a 2-minute video pitching the proposed idea and describing the plan for implementation. Members of the Conference Planning Committee will review all submissions and identify the most promising ideas to be presented at the opening plenary session during the 7th Annual Diversity Abroad Conference to be held in Boston, MA March 2-5, 2019.
Important Deadlines: The proposal submission process closes on Monday, December 3, 2018 11:59 pm PST. Notifications will be sent during the week of December 17, 2019. Selected presenters must register by January 11, 2019.
