Human Library 2019 - Book Application Form
Hartford Public Library is looking for people who want to break down stereotypes and share their stories with others. If you have a story or experience that you think others would like to hear about, please fill out this form and we will get back to you to discuss your submission.

The event will take place at the Hartford Public Library on Saturday, October 5 from 1pm – 4pm.

The goal of the Human Library event is to “combat prejudice by giving people a chance to connect with someone they may have never had a chance to speak with otherwise. This is achieved by creating an intentional space for dialogue in the “Human Books”, or people with a story to tell about their identity, can be ‘checked out’ by others for one-on-one conversations that have the potential for authenticity and connection. ‘Readers (even attendees) have the unique opportunity to ask questions and interact with the ‘Human Books’.”
