The Rhythm Project offers three categories of groups that you can be involved in according to your age, grade and music proficiency.

The Junior-Stars is our elementary program that exists in numerous schools around the Hampton Roads. This program meets during the school day and is exclusively available for 5th grade students interested in learning a fun new instrument. (Junior Stars currently available at the following schools: Douglass Park Elementary, Ingleside Elementary, Richard Bowling Elementary, Tidewater Park Elementary, & Larchmont Elementary (4th & 5th graders - after school))

The Rising-Stars is our middle school program that meets after school in three main locations - Norfolk, Portsmouth & Virginia Beach. To be a part of this group, students must audition for the instructors and will be accepted based on their overall musical ability and potential to succeed in the group.

The All-Stars is our flagship group that consists of the “best of the best” high school students from the Hampton Roads environs.   Acceptance into this group is based on an additional audition process and membership includes many perks such as paid summer gigs, out of state/country trips, and a four (4) year scholarship for students planning to pursue tertiary studies.
