How Does a Parent Cafe Work?
The Parent Cafe begins at 5:30 pm with a light dinner which you and your children enjoy together.

After about 20 minutes, you will accompany your children to one of two rooms designated for child care which will be staffed by volunteer teachers.

You will return to the Cafe to begin your round-table discussions. You will be seated at tables with no more than 4 other people, one of whom is a trained facilitator, to consider a discussion topic. After about 15 minutes of discussion, you will rotate to a new table to consider a different discussion topic. At the end of the night, each table will debrief the topics discussed with the large group.

The focus of the discussions will be to learn and share about keeping yourself, your children and your family strong with:
--Parental Resilience
--Social Connections
--Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development
--Concrete Support in Time of Need
--Children's Social and Emotional Development
--Healthy Parent/Child Relationship
