Ferguson's Loyalist Militia is a Kings Mountain, NC based Revolutionary War-themed reenactment unit that focuses on the Southern Campaign of the Revolution in the year 1780. We have Major Patrick Ferguson, his second in command, Captain DePeyster, the famous Virginias, and more. We also portray other units, including Continental/Patriot forces, but our special is Carolina Backcountry Militia, and redcoat-wearing Loyalist Provincials. We offer blackpowder firing demonstrations, musket volleys, historical weaponry demonstrations, and even some combat demonstrations. Also, for special events, we have a Ferguson Ordnance Rifle replica that we display and teach about, with Major Ferguson himself explaining his invention firsthand.
